Focus Friday | Networking Without Follow-Through = An Open Loop
Ever had a great conversation with someone, promised to follow up… and then never did?
That’s an open loop. And the longer it stays open, the colder that connection gets.
Networking isn’t just about making contacts—it’s about closing loops that turn conversations into opportunities. The difference between “someone I met once” and “a valuable connection” is what happens after the handshake (or Zoom call).
💡 Unfinished follow-ups = missed opportunities. Closing the loop keeps momentum alive.
Your Friday Focus: Reignite a Connection
✅ Step 1: Pick One Unfinished Conversation
Scroll through your messages, emails, or LinkedIn DMs. Who did you say you’d “circle back with” but never did? Who has left a comment on a post you haven’t replied to. Who is languishing in your inbox?
✅ Step 2: Send a Simple Follow-Up
Keep it easy:
"Hey [Name], I really enjoyed our conversation about [topic]. Let’s reconnect soon—would love to continue the chat!"
✅ Step 3: Share a #LoopWin
leave a comment and tell me: Which networking loop did you just close?
Your momentum might inspire someone else to take action.
🔹 Connections don’t fade because they’re weak—they fade because they stay open-ended. Close the loop, keep the door open, and turn one conversation into something bigger.
Close the loops. Take the win. Loop again. #NoOpenLoops
